I have a new project I want to start and would love for you to join me!

I'm hoping to build some momentum and get the ball rolling and I would love to have your support! The first project I am going to start working on is a course for the fundamentals of newborn photography. Like a really in depth one of the things I find to be the most key in achieving any kind of look you want for your newborn images! A lot of the content I have in the education group now covers this stuff...but just not as in depth and organized as I want it to be. I want this to be the online newborn course of all courses!

I haven't decided yet if it'll be multiple courses or how I'll plan it all out but this one will be very organized and easier to follow and reference than just live videos. I am going to start filming content for this!

In the meantime I would like to offer a super amazing deal! I'm going to create a new group that will be able to watch the filming live for these videos. I'm hoping that those who join will be able to give me feedback, suggestions, ask lots of questions so I can make sure to cover as much as possible! I am thinking this project will take a month or so to film and then another month or so to get the final course created. Those who purchase and access to the live filming will also receive the final course downloads as well as my actions and presets I use for editing. I plan to start the lives next week. Some will be with live models and some will just be live discussions.

The lives will stay up until the final videos are ready for released so you'll have time to go back if you can't make the live but they won't stay up forever. I won't be answering questions in that group but will answer then during the lives to make sure I don't get overwhelmed with trying to manage two groups.

➡️ Safely handling baby and soothing fussy babies... I'm telling you I think I've found the secret to getting nearly all babies to settle in to poses, without just wrapping them. Anyone that has seen me with newborns should be able vouch for me 🤣. Of course there are always those exceptions but I hardly ever get fussy babies and these tricks have worked on 100s of babies, many who I think in the past before I figured them out, I would have not been able to settle. I want to really focus on that in these videos, more in depth than I have in my other lives. I know how to do it but I want to find the best way to teach how to do it 🥰 This probably makes ore sense to my group members 🤣 BUBBLES 🫧🫧🤣
➡️ Showing multiple lighting techniques with different modifiers and not just how I prefer to shoot so you can learn how to control and achieve exactly what you want
➡️ Posing and body alignment. Body alignment of baby is key to keeping them calm and getting them in to all these poses. There are really only a few things you need to learn and understand to be able to do most poses and pose on almost any prop. I also want to show more posing not just the way I prefer it but also with modifications so again you can understand how to control and achieve the exact look you want! Also how and what to look for and how to adjust baby if they get fussy during pose changes
➡️ Shooting with different camera lenses/at different apertures outside of my preference so you can again learn to achieve the look you want or work with your equipment if you don't have the same as I do.
➡️ "Angles" but I used that term loosely because It's not really about angles as much as it is about compression, depth of field, distortion, and rotation. This was my game changer. When I figured this out and how it all works together and how I can control it, was when I finally felt like I had "made it" 🤣
➡️ Editing- I will cover some full edits that will be included on the final video and done live but Editing will not be the primary focus of this video.

Those will be the key points I will be focusing on for this new video. It will be amazing for those who are just beginning their newborn photography journey but also super helpful for those who are experienced but feel like they're still just missing that light bulb moment. Sometimes going back to the basics and focusing on those may be what you need to level up.

I am in my 10th year photographing newborns and it was really only a couple years ago, that I was feeling like I was almost where I wanted be but was just missing something. I started really watching babies during my sessions. When they wouldn't settle or get fussy I started asking myself why... (other than the basics, hunger, wet diaper, gassy etc.) I started watching their movements and then noticed similarities between all babies and basically just came up with these "theories" and started implementing them during my sessions and it has really worked for nearly all babies. I used to have streaks of fussy babies or not be able to get certain poses and now I rarely have that happen. Out of the 100s of babies I saw the year I started mentoring, only a handful were "hard" and most of the time I was still able to get them settled and a "perfect" pose.

I really think I have some really great monumental things to share that I wish I had learned early on. I don't know what else is out there as far as education since I haven't done any in like 6 years, but I think I have some really amazing things to share and I think it would help so many people!
